There is no denying that a child's nursery deserves some animal prints on the wall. After all, many of their childhood books contain an animal at one stage. There is also something about animal prints, whether farm or safari, that has a sense of magic about it.
Whether you are buying the print as part of a redecoration or setting up a nursery from scratch, these animal prints really will be the envy of whoever comes to visit your nursery. We've got a great selection here that will suit both a colourful more modern nursery or a traditional design that has pastel walls. You will also find that many animal prints are generally neutral if you have more than one child in the bedroom or...
So spring is finally here and what a wonderful feeling it is. One of the next big family events following Christmas is going to be the Easter holidays. A wonderful time to spend as a family!
However, for those that are going to be hosting a family event this Easter, there is one element that you are going to want to make sure is perfect - the dining table.
Having a truly Easter dining table is almost as important at the Christmas one. It is certainly something, that in our house, we truly love.
Although, we have found that truly magnificent Easter tableware, it can be somewhat difficult to find. And more importantly, Easter tableware that you can use again and again, rather than the ones that...
Let's be honest, we all love having birds in the garden. They really are a delight. From the sounds on a spring morning and the background noise of a relaxing summer's afternoon, the tweeting somehow fills us with joy. However, when the winter comes, we don't spend so much time outside and feeding the birds becomes more of an effort. However, this is when the birds really need us as there are less natural food sources around for them.
For them to get through the harsh winter weather, many birds 'fatten up' so that they are able to stay warm.
It is around this time of year that you will see the garden centres all of a sudden fill their shelves with fat balls and suet...
So the temperature has gone over 20C and they are set to last for weeks! PANIC! Time to get a fan I hear you say to keep cool this summer.
Yes, yes. We're mad! We spend most of the winter complaining that it is too cold and then come May, the temperature rises to 20C, all of a sudden it is too hot! According to many of the studies that are out today, this is most likely one of the many wonderful byproducts of global warming and we won't see it easing up any time soon. Rather than waiting until late July to get hold of your ever important fan, you're better off getting one now and saving yourself a couple of hours of hunting...
BBQ season is officially upon us. Here are a few things to consider this season to ensure that you have all you need to BBQ.
So us British are somewhat fanatical are really quite mad when it comes to BBQs. It may be 16C with the slightest glimmer of a sun ray, and we pull out the BBQ with the rusting grills and give it a good scrub and clean so that we can spend time outdoors with sizzling food, sharing the experience with friends and family.
What many fail to understand is that BBQing is really quite an art and by doing some really simple things, you can turn what could be construed as an average BBQ into something really quite special.
Cleaning
One thing that I...
No kidding, leather sofas look great when they are new! However, over time, they fade and don't look as good as they once did - they look tired!
We've had our sofa for coming up two years now which has seen us through two summers. During the summer months, the sofas are blasted with sun every day as our garden is south facing. Needless to say, this hasn't helped the situation. Neither has our toddler beginning to climb all over them with grubby hands and feet.
Time to sort it out!
When we bought the sofas from DFS, we were provided with some cleaning boxes that had wipes and conditioner in it. Whilst it cleaned the sofa, it really didn't do anything to help restore the leather...
